Please report mouse droppings to your supervisor or manager! Do not expose yourself to mice, their saliva, urine or feces. Your supervisor or manager will call the pesticide control company to clean it up!

Hanta Virus!
This can be transmitted to humans via inhalation of, or contact with the saliva, urine or feces of an infected mouse.
Your union is fighting for your safety!Your union has been pushing the company through grievances and negotiations to properly deal with food safety and occupational health and safety issues. Some grievances are now being heard by an arbitrator. Superstore employees have not been trained in safe handling procedures in removing and cleaning animal droppings.DON'T DO IT! |
Report all sightings of mice to management and to your union!Your union contract and the law protect your safety. The law protects your right to refuse unsafe work!If you are asked in any way, to work with, clean up, or deal with rodents, their saliva, urine, hair and carcasses or feces….. REFUSE! Ask for different duties! CALL THE UNION IMMEDIATELY!  |
Food Safety! Food safety principles demand a zero tolerance policy towards mice. Loblaws says they have a zero tolerance policy! Superstore employees should have a zero tolerance approach as well!
Caution!Do not consume suspect food! Do not work in suspect areas! If you have had possible exposure to rodents, their saliva, urine, or feces and exhibit any flu like illnesses, seek immediate medical attention and inform the physician that you may have been exposed to the Hanta virus. If you have consumed suspect food and exhibit any symptoms of illness seek immediate medical attention and inform the physician that your food may have been exposed to mice. |

Demand a Clean Store!Accept and adopt work practices that ensure store cleanliness. Do not let anyone tell you that "profit" and "productivity" should compromise food safety or your health and safety!
