UFCW local 401 members enjoy their union negotiated rights to have time off. When they aren't working, they like to have fun! But they also like to make a difference in their communities!

Leukemia research is a favorite fundraising cause of UFCW members. The UFCW through the ongoing efforts of volunteers, is the single largest contributor to the Leukemia Research Fund of Canada. The result has been a significant decline in Leukemia fatality rates - especially among children!

Much more can be done; we need to find a cure! A modest five dollar donation will go straight to Leukemia research - and you will receive a contemporary, top quality 401 hat!

Talk to your union steward or rep, or call the union office directly to help with this terrific cause. Wear the hat, make a difference!

	Shauna has been a 401 member for almost 20 years. When she's not at work, she loves riding her motorcycle, volunteering for the SPCA and participating in union sponsored events to raise money for Leukemia research.
	Andrea is a new union member. Whenever she can, she skateboards to work as a cashier at a UFCW represented supermarket. She is proud of the fact that UFCW funded research has led to recent breakthroughs in Leukemia treatment.
